malegoatphillyBack in 2009 a group of super psyched far out rockers from the far east flew approximately halfway around the world to play a couple shows on the east coast. We told them not to do it, they would lose money, they needed to wait and come later for a longer tour… they didn’t care. They were in it for the experience, the adventure, the alcohol poisoning. We are looking fucking forward to handing them the reins and doing it on their half.

The Flushed single is out today on Asian Man Records!  Head over to to pick one up.  We are beyond excited to work with this label.  It’s every punk kid’s dream.  To celebrate we made a video with our favorite visual collaborator, Craig Scheihing.  In other adolescent dream news we’ve hooked up with Jade Tree Records to release our LP which will be out this summer.  Again, words can’t express how stoked we are for this.  Only thing that’s left now is getting George Martin to notice us and sign us on with Parlophone.

Dogs on Acid plays in your hometown of Philadelphia so infrequently that it’s totally acceptable to go see them twice in one week!  Here’s the break down… Monday February 9th, show is moved from the Golden Tea House (RIP) to the First Unitarian Church, gonna be an emotional one, lots of mourning show-goers.  LVL UP is gonna be there and they rip along with the undeniable Girlpool who have recently relocated to the city of blubberly love.  Take a day to rest, work the kinks out of your neck from that bangover, then Wednesday February 11th head over to Boot & Saddle.  Arguably the best sounding venue in the city and who do we have here but arguably the best living rock group in Philadelphia, the Spirit of the Beehive.  You do not want to miss this and get there early because Quit is opening the show and nobody knows how fucking good they are yet.  Impress your friends.  You’re welcome :0

Holy shit! West coast! We are making our way out to you for a short tour from December 26th to the 31st. Please bathe us in your warm weather and teach us how to surf. Check out the shows page for details!

Guess what? We are doing a short, but awesome mini tour this weekend for the release of our first seven inch on Ranch Records! We will be playing in NYC, Connecticut, and Philadelphia and we expect to see all of you there. Check the shows page for all the details and if you all feel so inclined, Peter loves Funfetti Cupcakes.

We also just announced that we have another seven inch that will be coming out on Asian Man Records in early 2015. We are all very excited to work with such a great label! Get pumped!

So, it has been a long while since there has been an update and for good reason. We have so much to tell you! We just recently released the first of two seven inch records. The first one is coming out on Ranch Records and more details will be available on the second one as soon as we can give them to you. But, we promise it will be soon! We have a ton of shows coming up so come out and say hi. Joe loves cupcakes!
